• Backpack body made of durable, tear-resistant kraft paper. Due to its special material, the backpack is eye-catching and feather-light while being extremely robust. The wood for the paper materials is 100% FSC certified responsible forestry and forest management. This means that the outer material is 100% recyclable
• Even in heavy rain, the contents of your backpack will remain dry thanks to the water-repellent coating of the kraft paper
• The “STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX” seal underlines the high quality of this material
• Backpack applications made of vegan brown leather. There is a great deal of innovation in this leather – because it is practically indistinguishable from the beautiful structure and haptics of real leather
• Easy opening and closing of the backpack by rolling it up and magnetic closure. The adjustable buckle on the strap (brass-coloured) allows you to extend the strap – depending on whether you need to carry more or less in your KRAFT big
• Reinforced, padded back and base – this keeps the backpack upright when you put it down
• Slim shoulder straps with high wearing comfort (adjustable)
• Secret pocket in the back of the backpack keeps your keys and wallet secure yet easy to access
• Robust inner lining
• Padded internal laptop compartment (suitable up to 15.6 inches)
• In addition to your notebook, the KRAFT big offers enough space for a thick A4 folder and a 1.5 litre bottle, for example

• If you ever need to carry a particularly large number of items, the KRAFT big provides you with the flexibility you need: using the zipper you don’t have to roll up the KRAFT big to store your things safely. You therefore have storage space of up to 27 litres, an interior height of up to 52 cm and an interior diagonal of up to 61 cm (this means, e.g., that an elongated object of more than half a meter in length fits into your KRAFT big)

Why aren't the Fitz & Huxley shoulder straps padded? Don't they cut in?

We combine design and everyday functionality with our backpacks. We designed the shoulder straps so that they are as inconspicuous as possible and fit so well into your outfit. At the same time, the woven material is soft and thick so that the shoulder straps do not cut in even when the backpack is fully loaded. Thousands of satisfied Fitz & Huxley rucksack fans have tested this.

Why do you produce in India and not in Germany? Aren't workers exploited there?

It is true that poor working conditions, exploitation and child labor still exist in poor India. But the prejudice does not adequately describe reality. India is in a process of change, of which we and our production partners understand each other. In order to ensure our high requirements, our production is certified with the renowned SEDEX and SA8000 standards. These ensure, among other things, fair wages and the possibility of unionization as well as good occupational health and safety measures. About 140 people and their families can make a good living from the production for Fitz & Huxley and we can offer our customers very high quality products at an affordable price, unlike if we were producing in Germany.
